Virtual Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Workshop / Training
Our online training gives you the flexibility to attend from anywhere, whether it is your couch or a sunny park, at any time and at your own pace. No time limits!
The training consists of 5 parts:
- Register at any time - fee $20.00.
- Submit your application.
- Complete all online courses.
- Meet with our Volunteer Coordinator to discuss your interests and placement.
- Pass background check.
Once you registered and submit your application you will receive step-by-step easy to follow instructions.
Volunteer Opportunities
- Assist advocates in shelter managing daily duties
- Yard work, cleaning
- Answer crisis hotlines (requires additional training)
- Transporting clients
- Social Interaction with clients
- Play interaction with children
- Assisting the Parent Child Advocate with activities for children
- Providing assistance with community education, staffing a booth at a health fair, etc.
- Organizing, picking up, and transporting donated items
- Police Response Advocate (requires additional training)
