October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
The Crisis Center, Inc. proudly presents the:
Clothesline Project
A survivor art exhibit featuring art by victims and survivors of domestic violence as well as art created by friends, family and the community of those impacted by domestic violence.
Who makes the art?
Anyone who has been impacted by domestic violence can make a shirt for the survivor art display.
- Victims and survivors
- Family members of victims and survivors
- Friends of victims and survivors
- Community members of victims and survivors
- Individuals who what to show their support for victims and survivors

How can you participate in making art for this event?
- You can make your own shirt for the display and contact rachel@thecrisiscenterinc.org by Wednesday October 1, 2025 to turn in the shirt.
- Join our free shirt making event at the Manhattan Public Library in the Groesbeck Meeting Room on Saturday September 27, 2025 from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM.
- We will have shirts and materials to decorate your shirt.
- Pick up a shirt from CCI, design it on your own, and turn it in by Wednesday October 1, 2025. Contact rachel@thecrisiscenterinc.org for more information.
- There is no charge to pick up a shirt, or to make a shirt at the event on September 27, 2025 from 9:30AM-11:30AM!
What are the guidelines for the art submitted?
- No names or identifying information on the shirts.
- No profanity.
- Only shirts will be accepted.
Please note:
Art submitted for the Clothesline Project will not be returned to the creator. The art will remain a part of the permanent Clothesline Project display for future use by The Crisis Center, Inc..
